7 Ways To Increase Traffic and Leads

Ask any marketer or business owner what they find the biggest struggle and the answer will most likely be ‘getting traffic and leads'.

Truth is, there are many ways to increase traffic and leads, and in this post we will look at several of them. You might be trying to increase traffic to your capture pages to directly generate leads, or to your blog or any other website.  The processes don't change, so lets dive in:

1. Advertise!

Paid strategies are by far the fastest way to increase your traffic.  In fact, when set up correctly paid strategies can literally act like turning on a traffic tap (faucet).  Turn on a campaign and the traffic flows, turn it off and the traffic stops…

Now – before you reach for your credit card, paid traffic strategies need to be done correctly.  They involve many different factors and can be complicated. They need to be adjusted according to your goals and each strategy has its pros and cons.

What I suggest is to pick just ONE strategy and learn how to run ads effectively using that strategy.  However, once a little time and money investment has been made, you'll be in control of your own traffic ‘tap'!

2. Social Media

Firstly make sure you have a strong social media biography: The very first thing that a potential social media fan checks out is your bio.

Once someone becomes part of your socia media audience, provide them with valuable content, and they're likely to become an E-mail subscriber (your ultimate goal!). So make sure you have a well-written bio.

Obviously you’re going to share content on your social media channels. But don’t stop there! Repurpose your content by pulling out small snippets, quotes, statements and turn them into lots of social media posts. You can even schedule your posts over a long period of time to increase your actual reach. Post on your major social profiles like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.

3. Use Video Marketing

Video marketing is another powerful way to increase your visibility and thus increase your traffic and lead generation.  Affordablewebdesign.com reports that adding videos increased their traffic by 55%

Fact is, all successful marketers include videos in their marketing. Not only can it generate more traffic and leads, it is also a powerful way to build your ‘brand.'

Data also shows that information retention is significantly higher for visual material than it is for text, meaning that video is an excellent way to grab – and hold – your audience’s attention, and boost traffic to your website at the same time.

4. Write Irresistible Headlines

Your headlines are one of the most important parts of all your marketing.  Without a compelling headline your ads will not be clicked, your Emails will not be opened, your content will not be viewed!  So master the art of headline writing.

5. Host Webinars

People love to learn, and webinars are an excellent way to impart your wisdom to your eagerly waiting audience. Combined with an effective social promotion campaign, webinars are a great way to increase traffic and generate leads.

Promote your website registration link by sharing on social media and/or using a paid marketing strategy.

6. Attend Live Events

Attending live events is a very good idea for many reasons including:

Meeting people with similar goals; Beginning joint ventures; Reinforcing your belief and finally opportunities to build your brand (photo opps) and increase your knowledge.

7. Create Valuable Content

There is no magic formula for content marketing success, despite what some would have you believe. For this reason, vary the length and format of your content to make it as appealing as possible to different kinds of readers. Intersperse shorter, news-based blog posts with long-form content as well as video, infographics for maximum impact.
